If you are going to remove the 2834-2 "day-at-twelve" disc and go with a straight date only display, I would suggest using a 2836-2 disc, as it will bring the date to the bottom of the window.
I'm considering the option of making a hybrid 3155 movement based on a 3135 clone base, adding gen parts to make it a day-date movement . but that will depend on the total price of the parts.
