Even earlier this year, you could still get a caviar mini for around 00-4000 USD, but in the last 6-8 months, the price has exploded. It's absolutely not worth it at the current resale price. Yes you can wear it cross-body but there are also other Chanel bags you can buy retail and you can wear it cross-body. So I know this sounds ridiculous as a statement but Chanel viscose has held up very well 🤣🤣🤣 you just have to get over paying $$$$$ for viscose and polyamide.I really don’t know why Chanel does this. I'll be curious to see their YoY sales stats to see how the price hike impacts things. It could very well be that they still have another landmark year. I have 4 mini caviar flaps.. i won’t buy with reseller price now.. Unless money isn’t a problem. It is indeed very interesting that Chanel will open a brand new shop (3 floors) in about 1.5 years in Zurich. They currently have a small one (and only one floor). They see a potential and enough people are still buying. I personally won't buy anymore classic flaps because it became ridiculous expensive.
