Will a submariner caseback fit on a SD43? Just wondering if a lower profile case back would alter the height/fit for those of us with borderline wrists. The watch fits fine (or as much as I can tell considering the AD will not size it for me when trying it on in the gallery). I know many people have posted about the comfort issues with the SD43 and I tend to agree. The SD43 is 43mm and 185 grams. The Sub is 41mm and 155 grams. Some quick background for reference: I have owned my MK1 SD43 since 2018.

IMO the Submariner does wear quite differently than the SD43. The flatter caseback and thinner profile make it more comfortable on my 7"wrist. That said, there's no denying the wrist presence of the SD43.

The new case and lug taper to wider bracelet is spot on perfect. The 21mm lugs with a thinner taper was brilliant. This looks like a modern interpretation of a 5 digit Sub. There is a lot going on where the lugs meet the bracelet and you have to study it . They were kind and loved that I finally was able to get my FIRST Rolex and that I would get it with them. One month wait and BOOM, got the call yesterday and I’m in love. It’s a sweet spot between a Sub and my SeaWolf.
