The steps are basically: 1. use butane lighter [some have had success with a soldering iron also] to heat cyclops, not the crystal directly, until there's a slight "puff" (usually 2-5 seconds depending on watch - careful not to heat .
The correct way to remove the cyclops is to take it to a Rolex certified watchmaker and have him replace the crystal with a Rolex crystal without a cyclops.
